Most product warranties sound reassuring until you actually need them. If you install a drainage system made from vinyl, polyethylene, or any of the synthetic materials on today's market, and it becomes brittle and cracks, or starts to leak, or the adhesive fails or there's a material defect.
Here's what typically happens: You'll need to prove the defect is due to manufacturing, ship the defective part back for inspection, and wait for approval. Even if everything checks out and the manufacturer accepts fault, they'll only refund the cost of the material itself.

Apart from our high-strength rust-free metals, AquaPassage™ is pre-formed to fit standard joist separation distances (12” and 16”). It is also pre-sloped for optimal drainage, and tapered to make sure the water flows dead-center into a gutter. Synthetic material are manually sloped, glued and taped, making it highly prone to failure. Water pooling is a common issue with synthetic waterproofing, they not only create points failure but the pooling also collects stagnant dirt and encourages the growth of insects such as ants and mosquitoes.
Is AquaPassage™ hard to install?
